At its peak the flood crossed the road; these pictures show the flow has returned to the culvert. The mud left on the road was 1 to 2 feet thick.
The following (poor quality) movies show the consistency of the mud and demonstrate how easily the slurry can run over the ground.
If you have bandwidth to burn, you can watch this high-clearance pickup truck drive into the mud … and stall. He was later able to back out.
